Putting in a pool was a big decision for us. The odd shape of our small front yard produces considerable engineering hurdles and we’d been told by a couple of pool builders that it would be simply impossible without spending a fortune we don’t have. Every stage of our pool journey went exactly to Steve’s plan. There were no nasty surprises or unexpected expenses along the way. He and Mandy communicated with us constantly throughout the process so that we always knew what would be happening in the next week, which tradesman would be doing what and when key decisions had to be made.

Along the way Steve made some terrific suggestions about landscaping options to complement the pool and mask our somewhat ugly front wall. We took up each of these suggestions because we’d already developed absolute trust in his vision and in his understanding of our budget. We just couldn’t be happier with the results.

For a couple of months our front yard became home to Steve and his team – all clearly handpicked because they’re good blokes who take pride in their work. They would clean up their work space every afternoon, even hosing down our driveway before they’d leave. That sort of service is all too rare. We’re not ashamed to say that we actually miss them.

We are so thrilled with our pool and still pinch ourselves that it’s actually come to fruition. It’s transformed our home and, come summer, our lifestyle too. We sincerely can’t recommend North Shore pools highly enough.

Rob Hood built our pool for us in 1989. After nearly 30 years of trouble free fun we decided to subdivide our block and that meant removing the pool.

The excavation took 2 whole days and the condition of the steel and concrete was still perfect and the excavators commented that it was one of the toughest removals they had done. We have just finished extensive renovations to our large house in Mosman Bay. Part of this project involved renovating our 35 year old swimming pool.
